PEACE AMBASSADORS
Francess and Sulcut are trained Breathworks Mindful Champions and are teacher training participants for Breathworks' Mindfulness for Stress program – the first pilot teacher training program in Sierra Leone.
The two talented creative artists, mindfulness practitioners and teachers are committed to making a positive impact on the people of Sierra Leone, especially those in vulnerable and marginalized groups. Francess and Sulcut have experienced first-hand how creativity and mindfulness can lift spirits and bring a sense of peace, regardless of the context a person finds themselves in.
Since 2016, Francess and Sulcut, together with other Sierra Leoneans and with the support of national and international partners, have been offering yoga, art and music workshops in Freetown's correctional facilities.
In February 2023, they came together as The Peace Ambassadors, a local, officially sanctioned, non-profit organization based in Freetown, Sierra Leone.
